Laser-assisted eye surgery can be performed on many parts of the eye for everywhere from the front of the eye, to the cornea, to the back of the eye, called the retina.

LASIK is just one form of laser eye surgery, which is performed on the cornea to reshape it and correct myopia, hyperopia, and/or astigmatism.
Femtosecond surgery is a type of laser surgery used in Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery to potentially increase precision and improve outcomes as well as correct small amounts of astigmatism.
YAG or Yttrium Aluminum Garnet laser is used to remove scar tissue that can form behind the intraocular lens after cataract surgery.

SLT or Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty is a laser used to stretch the drainage system of the eye so as to lower intraocular pressure in cases of glaucoma.
